You may only sell things you have in a pawn shoppe. Within LOS there are various pawnshops, though rarely more than one in a town. They are not commonly associated with the rubbish tips, though a few have this combined function. You cannot sell broken, or near to breaking objects, nor those that have only minimal value. You will also find that you cannot sell scrolls or potions to the pawn shopkeeper. They find it too dangerous to stock these items. You can VALUE items before they are sold but you will never get the full value of the item. The shopkeeper has a limit on how much he will ever give as a maximum, typically you will find that they will not offer more than 10,000 gp for any one item, if you want more sell to other players. If a quest item is to be sold then you must confirm it by adding the word quest to the end of the command else it will refuse to do so.
