The Halfling

History
Found quiet out of the way places. Shy/avoids contact as much as possible May be related to dwarves and gnomes, but no-one has quite figured them out yet. Mad/coerced halfling have been known to enter human lands and tend to take up stealthy activities such as thieving and rangering

The Halfling is considered a mysterious race, until recently only scholars and explorers knew of their existance. This is simply because they are a very quiet people. They keep themselves to themselves and have very little to do with anyone else.

The history of their race is the matter of much speculation and guess work. Many believe that they must be closely related to the Dwarf or Gnome use the simple logic that they are of similar size then it must be so. The scholars are much more divided in the absence of hard data.

They tend to make their homes in dug-out caves or "Holes" in the sides of valleys in low-lying rolling hills, and quite often these are very well concealed.

The Halfling adventurer is an aberation, and the Halfling peoples consider them at best eccentric, or maybe even mad. Those that do adventure away from home tend to naturally skillful at those skills that require stealth, and it is quite natural to find them as Thieves or Rangers.

Attributes
The Halfling is very nimble and stealthy, but tends to be weaker than average.
