The Dwarf
History
Like the Dark-Elf the Dwarves found a new home
in the earth, but for different reasons and in a more obvious way. They
are descended from a group of ancients that worked in the mountains before
the great holocaust, and they decided to hide there to avoid what they
thought was the vengeance of the gods.
In order to survive the Dwarves traded materials easily found in their
domain with other peoples for supplies such as food, and eventually became
a race of master miners, The popular Dwarven song
"Gold, gold, gold"
seems to sum them up neatly - they are boring.
Despite their greater than average strength, they form the butt of many
jokes with other races, due to being vertically challanged mono-maniacs
whose women are indistinguishable from their men, partly due to the fact that
they too have beards.
Attributes
The Dwarf can see in the dark (handy in a mine), is stronger than average
(ditto), but has lower piety since they believed the gods destroyed the
world.
