The Human

History
After the Elves, the Humans are the next closest descendants to the ancients. They have retained much of the drive, ambition, inventiveness and taste for empire-building of the ancient peoples.

The recent ancestors of Humans managed to avoid the ravaging effects of the wild magics unleashed in ancient times. By avoiding magic so avidly, and returning to a nomadic existance, the human ancestors lost some of the ability to associate with the magical realms, and only in fairly recent times have researchers started to re-harness these capabilities.

The Humans are behind the current rebuilding of civilisation, dragging the other races that ally with them along for the ride.

Attributes
The Human is an all-rounder and can turn his hand to anything. Compared with all other races, he is pretty much average at all abilities. Of course, as a race this makes Humans fairly formidable opponents!
