This only has an effect if the target has been poisoned, else the mp have been wasted. If you have been poisoned and do not have enough mp to cast then you have to either get someone else to cast for you or you need to find a wand or potion with the spell in. Once the spell takes effect natural healing again is possible and also recovery of mp.
